Initially I envisioned Weird Girl Mob to be a mix between Killstar and Suicide Girls, but I’m realizing that it is important to look past the surface. This is a brand that supports and empowers all women who dare to be different in ANY WAY. Sometimes Weird Girls are just women who speak up for what is right, who own their power, who support other women, and don’t fall victim to who this patriarchal society believes we should be.
As women, expectations start to weigh us down from when we’re very small. We’re expected to be obedient, complacent, “lady-like,” and life is supposed to more or less be over once we get married or have kids. Weird Girl Mob is for the women who reject those expectations, who have been triggering men their whole life, and have been living outside of what society considers “normal.”
I have been busy reshaping WGM the last few years (hence the inactivity on our social media), but I think it’s time to get back to it. If you’ve read all of this, I appreciate it and I hope it resonated with something in you. Take care of yourself and drink some water ✨
